The CMA assists in maintaining the highest degree of quality resident care while promoting resident dignity, independence, safety, and well-being.</p> <h2 data-section-id="1biysgw" data-start="629" data-end="669">Essential Duties and Responsibilities</h2> <h3 data-section-id="1jpi62b" data-start="671" data-end="700">Medication Administration</h3> <ul data-start="701" data-end="1339"> <li data-section-id="jprfsb" data-start="701" data-end="790"> Administer medications as ordered by the physician and delegated by the licensed nurse. </li> <li data-section-id="1s9qmn5" data-start="791" data-end="890"> Prepare, distribute, and document medications according to facility policy and state regulations. </li> <li data-section-id="ypcxs9" data-start="891" data-end="1023"> Observe residents for adverse reactions, side effects, or changes in condition and promptly report findings to the licensed nurse. </li> <li data-section-id="9mqag4" data-start="1024" data-end="1129"> Maintain accurate medication administration records (MARs) and treatment administration records (TARs). </li> <li data-section-id="1fc2gqh" data-start="1130" data-end="1247"> Ensure medications are stored, handled, and disposed of according to facility policies and regulatory requirements. </li> <li data-section-id="19ik7x1" data-start="1248" data-end="1339"> Conduct medication cart audits and maintain medication
